Darpan’s litigation experience includes both civil and criminal litigation, especially those involving indirect taxation, trade remedies, environmental law, contractual disputes and disputes relating to insolvency and bankruptcy, industrial disputes and service matters, offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code and various other special State and Central enactments, amongst others.

Ever since he commenced his association with Sarvada Legal, his work profile involves handling the firm’s litigation on disputes arising out of indirect taxation before the Supreme Court and the various High Courts across India as well as providing advice on the same, handling trade remedy investigations involving anti-dumping duties, countervailing duties and safeguard duties before the Directorate General of Trade Remedies as well as litigation arising from such trade remedy measures before the High Courts and the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal(CESTAT), representing the Indian Government and other private organisations in trade remedy investigations conducted by other WTO members in their respective jurisdictions, handling insolvency and bankruptcy related disputes, consumers complaints and appeals before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission(NCDRC). Darpan has also helped structure startups and advised clients on organizing their business in compliance with local laws and regulations such as those under the SEBI, Legal Metrology Act, BIS Act, Energy Conservation Act and environmental laws.
